Spirulina smoothies are very delicious and they are packed full of nutrients for health and wellbeing.
If you have not heard of spirulina, it is basically a type of cyanobacterium that can be found anywhere in the world. Cultivation of spirulina is at an all time high due to the increased awareness of the nutritional content and vitamin content when consuming spirulina.
For our first smoothie recipe, we are going to incorporate some familiar ingredients together with spirulina (of course…) that even your kids will enjoy! So, if you have kids who gets disgusted with the fact that they are eating bacteria that looks green, then this smoothie will surely get their attention.

1. Spirulina Smoothie with Strawberry Recipe
2 banana, frozen
2 handfuls of spinach
1 teaspoon of spirulina,
2 cup of fresh strawberries
Instructions: Put all ingredients in a blender. Blend until its consistency is smooth. This recipe serves up to 2 people. You can add more ingredients if desired.
Once you are done, you will get a very nice smooth coloured green smoothie that is packed full of good vitamins and nutrients. It tastes sweet, delicious and above all REFRESHING!

2. Spirulina Smoothie Recipe – With Berries and Yoghurt
Small serving of frozen blackberries, blueberries
1-2 teaspoon of spirulina
1 cup yoghurt / low-fat yoghurt
Instructions: Gather all ingredients and place them in a blender. Blend until you have obtained a smooth consistency to it. This recipe serves up to 2 people. You can use any berries mentioned above or you can combine them.
When you are done with this recipe, you will get a very creamy, smooth refreshing smoothie that will give you enough energy to keep yourself going from the moment you wake up until lunch time. I can be sure that you will not need any caffeine boost in between breakfast and lunch with this smoothie.
